Where is Kunming train station?

Kunming Station, located at No.1 Beijing Road, Guandu District, Kunming, is a first-class station under the jurisdiction of Kunming Bureau Group Co., Ltd. of China Railway, and is also an important transportation hub where Shanghai-Kunming Railway, chengdu-kunming railway Railway and Nankun Railway meet. On July 1, 1970, Kunming Station was officially put into use. On December 28, 2004, the expansion of Kunming Railway Station was completed.

As of July 9, 2003, the total construction area of the newly-built station building in Kunming Station is 25,000 square meters, and there are seats for passengers to rest in the station building. The station adopts a double-deck and two-side access mode.

By 2006, Kunming Station had built 5,245 square meters of elevated waiting rooms, 11,500 square meters of south station rooms, 2,212.8 square meters of underground exit halls, 166.40 square meters of tunnels (including extension of entrance and exit tunnels and luggage tunnels), 10,300 square meters of pillarless canopy and 13,200 square meters of station square.

As of June 2019, the taxi waiting area of Kunming Station has a total area of about 3,200 square meters, and the actual use area is about 2,400 square meters (including the reserved construction and public toilet site at the subway exit), which can accommodate about 60 taxis and about 100 people to enter the waiting passage at one time.
