The origin of rabbits.

The best answer: Rabbiniformes and Rodentia actually have a common ancestor, that is, the model pika, which was discovered in the buried hill Paleocene in Anhui Province, and then parted ways with Rodentia. Before the model pika was discovered, the order Rabbit was often considered to have originated from the order Artiodactyla or ankle show animals. In Miocene, pika was a littoral animal, but later it became an alpine animal.

2. Zoologists have always believed that Chinese rabbits originated in Europe. Some said that “there are many varieties of rabbits in China, but they are all imported from abroad”, some said that “the earliest rabbit species in China originated from wild burrowing rabbits in Europe and was introduced into China via Iran through the Silk Road”, and some said that “the origin of rabbits is in the Mediterranean region …, and the earliest domestication of rabbits was in Africa, which was formed after years of domestication and breeding by human beings”. Because there is no evidence of paleontology of wild rabbits, including fossils and bones, it is concluded that rabbits in China originated in Europe and spread to China through the Silk Road.
